AED Heartsaver

AED Heartsaver - CPR & AED Training

The AED Heartsaver course is a video-based, instructor-led programme that teaches participants how to recognise and respond to cardiac emergencies. You'll gain hands-on experience in adult and child CPR, learn how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and develop the skills to perform infant CPR and relieve choking in adults, children and infants.

This course is ideal for anyone who wants to be prepared to respond in an emergency - from healthcare professionals to workplace first-aiders, community volunteers, teachers and parents. Upon successful completion, participants receive a certificate issued by the Irish Heart Foundation, valid and recognised across Ireland.

BLS Basic Life Support

BLS - Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers

The BLS (Basic Life Support) course is specifically designed for healthcare professionals who need to know how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies for patients of all ages. The course covers single-rescuer and team-based life support techniques, high-quality CPR delivery, and the use of an AED in a clinical or community setting.

This programme is essential for nurses, healthcare assistants, doctors, paramedics and anyone working in a healthcare environment. The course is classroom-based and follows the latest American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines. Certification is issued by the Irish Heart Foundation.

Patient Moving & Handling

Patient Moving & Handling Training

This course provides healthcare workers with the knowledge and practical skills to safely move and handle patients in a wide range of clinical and care settings. Participants learn risk assessment techniques, safe use of hoists and slide sheets, and how to apply correct posture and body mechanics during patient transfers.

The course is delivered in compliance with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and the Manual Handling of Loads Regulations 1993/2007. It is suitable for nurses, healthcare assistants, carers and anyone involved in the physical movement of patients.

Manual Handling

Manual Handling - Workplace Safety Training

The Manual Handling course equips participants with the essential skills for safe lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and transporting loads in the workplace. Through practical demonstrations and hands-on exercises, learners develop the ability to assess manual handling risks and apply correct techniques to prevent musculoskeletal injuries.

This training is a legal requirement for many Irish workplaces and is delivered in accordance with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007. It is suitable for all employees across any sector - from healthcare and warehousing to retail, hospitality and construction.
