AED Heartsaver - CPR & AED Training

Master life-saving CPR and AED skills with Ireland's most trusted certification programme.

⏱ 4 - 5 Hours 🏅 Irish Heart Foundation Certified 📋 Classroom Based

Course Overview

The AED Heartsaver course is a video-based, instructor-led programme that equips participants with the confidence and competence to respond effectively in a cardiac emergency. You'll gain hands-on experience performing CPR on adults, children and infants, learn how to operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and develop the skills to relieve choking across all age groups.

An AED - or Automated External Defibrillator - is a portable, life-saving device that delivers an electric shock to restore normal heart rhythm during sudden cardiac arrest. With more than 5,000 people experiencing out-of-hospital cardiac arrest in Ireland each year, knowing how to use an AED and perform CPR can genuinely mean the difference between life and death. For every minute that passes without CPR and defibrillation, the chance of survival drops by approximately 10%.

This course is delivered entirely in a classroom setting using the latest video-based learning materials. Participants practise on manikins under the guidance of experienced instructors, ensuring every learner develops real muscle memory and genuine confidence. Upon successful completion, each participant receives a certificate issued by the Irish Heart Foundation - the national authority for CPR and AED training in Ireland.
